Module 1: Introduction to Differentiated Instruction

By the end of this module, learners will be able to: 

  • Describe the core principles of differentiated instruction. 
  • Recognize the importance of DI in Pakistani classrooms. 
  • Identify diverse aspects of student needs in their classrooms.  

Module 2: Assessing & addressing students’ learning

By the end of this module, learners will be able to: 

  • Tailor instructional planning using diagnostic assessment data at the term, unit, and lesson levels. 
  • Identify formative assessment types to evaluate student learning within lesson plans. 
  • Adapt instructional practices based on formative assessment data. 
  • Use assessments to gauge aspects of student diversity, such as multilingualism, socio-emotional development, and socio-economic factors, and tailor instruction to meet these diverse needs.

Module 3: Designing differentiated plans

By the end of this module, learners will be able to: 

  • Design lesson plans that incorporate differentiation strategies. 
  • Create lesson plans that address the diverse needs of students in local contexts, considering factors like socio-economic backgrounds, multilingualism, varying learning levels, and socio-emotional development. 

Module 4: Evaluating & refining differentiated practice   

By the end of this module, learners will be able to: 

  • Evaluate the impact of differentiated instruction and refine strategies using formative assessments, student feedback, and collaborative reflection.

What does it mean to have an online-cohort course?

An online-cohort course combines elements of both asynchronous learning (through pre-recorded videos and materials that you can access at your own pace) and synchronous learning (live classes and interactive sessions scheduled at specific times). 

Do I need any prior experience or qualifications to enroll?

While prior teaching experience can be beneficial, it is not a prerequisite for this course. Enthusiasts wanting to learn about the course content are welcome.

No, while the course includes a series of mini asynchronous videos, it also comprise of a live session, discussion forums, quizzes, and interactive peer learning activities to provide a comprehensive learning experience. 

What is the purpose of live classes?

The live classes provide an opportunity for real-time interaction with the instructor and peers, discussion of course material, clarification of doubts, and engaging in interactive learning activities. 

What is the passing score for this course?

You must score at least 60% to pass this course and receive your certificate. 

Can I skip any videos and assessments and still receive a certificate?

No, participants are expected to complete all videos and assessments to understand the course material thoroughly and meet the certification criteria. 

What kind of support can I expect during the course?
