Mobile application development has become an exciting skill and a lucrative career. Our lives are enriched by apps like WhatsApp, Uber, Careem, FoodPanda and so on. In this course, you will learn to make apps similar to your favourite app.
At the end of this course, students will be able to independently make a small mobile app for android and iOS that makes use of database, with due regards and appreciation of analytics tracking, user authentication, app notifications, design principles, user experience, mobile app marketing, user engagement and growth, and monetization.

In the first month of the course, you will focus on getting well-acquainted with the processes and softwares involved in designing an app as well as study examples of successful apps from different genres. You will gain an in-depth understanding of Flutter and IDE (Android Studio or Visual Studio Code), the softwares we will using in this course, as well as become adept at using the programming languages used in app development. We will end the month with developing our first mobile app for the course.
This month, you will learn to develop complex functionality into your apps. You will begin by creating databases and learn about CRUD: Creating, Reading, Updating and Deleting operations on a database. You will also find out about different types of database options available and their suitability for different needs. Later, you will use these databases to create complex apps such as e-commerce and food delivery apps. We will also learn about UI/UX design and use Flutter to create a functional interface for our apps.
This month, you will learn to iteratively improve your app by taking aid from tools like Crashalytics, human testers and user feedback. You will also learn about the collaborative nature of the app development process in which UX designers, backend (server) developers, other mobile developers, visual designers, researchers, marketeers and users work together to create successful apps. There will be several guest talks from industry experts and you will be expected to use this insights for your final app development project.
