Module 1: What is Classroom Management 

Learning Outcomes

  • Understand what classroom management means
  • Identify its importance for the classroom
  • Identify key factors that influence classroom behavior and dynamics [Classroom set-up, physical space, teaching strategies, teacher-student relationship]
  • Recognize the importance of establishing clear expectations and routines [core values, importance of ground rules]
  • Learn VARK model and apply it in classroom instruction

 

Module 2: Behavior & Time Management 

Learning Outcomes:

  • Identify and understand management strategies and styles
  • Effective strategies for lesson planning and time management

 

Module 3: Managing the Classroom

Learning Outcomes

  • Develop and apply effective behavior management strategies to address various classroom scenarios
  • Implement strategies for managing and reducing disruptive behaviors.
  • Understand and Apply conflict resolution techniques to address and resolve conflicts among students.
  • Design a classroom layout that supports learning and minimizes disruptions.
  • Foster an inclusive and respectful classroom culture that supports student engagement and motivation.
  • Teach students self-regulation and self-discipline strategies.

What does it mean to have an online-cohort course?

While prior teaching experience can be beneficial, it is not a prerequisite for this course. Enthusiasts wanting to learn about the course content are welcome.

What materials will I need for this course?

You will need access to a computer and a reliable internet connection for watching the videos and participating in live sessions. All other materials and readings will be provided as part of the course. 

Does this course only consist of videos?

No, while the course includes a series of mini asynchronous videos, it also comprise of a live session, discussion forums, quizzes, and interactive peer learning activities to provide a comprehensive learning experience. 

What is the purpose of live classes?

The live classes provide an opportunity for real-time interaction with the instructor and peers, discussion of course material, clarification of doubts, and engaging in interactive learning activities. 

What is the passing score for this course?

You must score at least 60% to pass this course and receive your certificate. 

Can I skip any videos and assessments and still receive a certificate?

No, participants are expected to complete all videos and assessments to understand the course material thoroughly and meet the certification criteria. 

What kind of support can I expect during the course?

You will have access to group support, peer discussion forums, and additional resources. During live sessions, you can interact directly with the instructor and your peers for support and clarification. 

How many learners will be with me on the course?
